Promotions are seemingly based on eagerness to do boss's bidding whether you understand it or not. Managers are on a private agenda, no one seems to care about corporate goals. Absolutely no communication worth the name from the CEO, other than an annual exhortation to contribute to United Way and Annual Employee Opinion Survey. In almost 4 years saw him address a townhall once. Employee Opinion Survey questions seemed more appropriate for shopfloor staff not prefessional / consulting types. No real vision or strategy for the future. Case in point - One of the Divisions went off with a bunch of IT staff who seemingly did not report to the CIO anymore. No one was able to define what the reporting structure, career plans etc were for these folks. I hear that division is back barely a year later. In another case, a central department was created from a set of separate departments for a specific competency. Employees were told that centralising the practice would allow the common practices to be set up - a common issue reported by customers. A year later this was disbanded again with no communication telling the folks who theire new managers were or which organization they reported into. Overall, management is hopeless, clueless and interested only in themselves. Company has no future. Management organization structure is weird..........
