Once hired, you need to memorize a 5 page script, word for word before you can start working. This script must be used when selling to clients. They record your conversations with clients and if you're even 2 or 3 words off, you will be reprimanded. If you're a salesperson, Spence is not a job for you. The script is designed to steer customers towards lower quality diamonds that have a larger markup. If you're a sheep that can memorize a script, then you can make a decent living working at Spence. Overall, not a good environment to work in.
