I worked at HP for about 3 years after they purchased the original company I worked for (EDS). In my time there I never got recognized or promoted for good work that I completed. I was always a "P+" rating, which is the second highest, in terms of my performance evaluations so the company knew I was doing decent work. The cut funding to a tuition program mid way through a degree I was trying to obtain even though they said in writing that they would reimburse me for the entire degree program. They also cut salaries across the company without doing any research. I never did receive a raise in the three years until I had another job offer on the table. Even then, they did not want to keep me as they would not match the salary in the job offer. I have never worked for a company that cared less about its employees. Anyone who rates HP as more than two stars is probably an HP marketing employee who is paid to fill these things out. This company is ONE star at most. If you want your career to move forward, don't work for HP.
