  • First Nations Health Authority is about looking like you want to help when you really want the money to keep coming in. It only works here because nobody asks questions or receives any support from leadership. Workers at FNHA have worse benefits than its own clients do; we don’t have short term disability and FNHA’s service model is built around high staff turnover.

The managers and directors are selected by cronyism, you will find very few leaders have any qualifications and zero soft skills. A director has a diploma from CDI and has no understanding of how to motivate his staff or the work they do.

FNHA has countless millions of dollars to spend on useless projects like its 5 story office administration building (Deep Cove) that few if any of the workers will ever get to see. Deep Cove is the very definition of an ivory tower and shows how far an autocratic leadership model that is completely out of touch with its workers and its clients can take things when there is no oversight or accountability.
