I've worked at excelHR for a few years, and I was surprised to see the negative comments on this site! The work is hard, there is stress, there is pressure, and overtime is normal. But this is more a result of the highly competitive industry, not a result of management or a "toxic environment". The challenges early on are not for everyone, but if you're up to a challenge this is a great place to work - there is a reason so many of the staff have been there for 10 years or more. No one was complaining about management or a toxic environment until 2008 when the economy tanked and new government procurement rules changed the staffing industry in Ottawa. Many of our competitors went out of business - it has been a challenge for our industry not just excelHR. I'm proud to work here, I love my colleagues, my earnings have gone up every year, and Managers and owners have been great to me and my family. If you are looking for a challenging career, a dynamic team, and a place to develop personally and professionally, excelHR is for you!
