The best advice I can give is to stay far, far away. This agency runs on ignorance, with managers and supervisors that prioritize unethical practices and will mistreat front-line staff to ensure conformity. Not only is management and supervisors ignorant when it comes to basic practice principles, they represent the agency unprofessionally when it comes to organizing meetings, training and supporting staff; right down to inappropriate dress attire. Middle management is under-educated and likely threated by front-line staff as a result of success and actual work being done with clients. Management will try to entice staff with bonuses, and a variety of vacation perks as a way to cover up mistreatment. Management will “zone in” on staff that are strong advocates for their practice and clients, and those staff will be labeled as “problematic” and typically let go without notice or any reasoning why. Supervisors are brainwashed by management and will also contribute to unethical practices by bullying of front-line staff; the agency as a whole is severely unorganized. If you choose to accept a position with this agency, it is likely you will be overworked and emotionally drained to the point you wont even want to get up and go to work. The office environment is quite toxic as it is fueled by gossip, and side conversations that are often negative which contributes to the overall low morale of this agency. Ultimately if you’re willing to put up with the crap that pours from the seams of this agency, it is likely you will be able to gain some good training, experience and make some decent money as well; as compensation of work is something they do moderately well. The turn over rate is exponential, and continues to worsen as staff realizes that bonuses and perks are not worth the manipulation or emotional burnout you likely will endure. Save yourself the stress, as this agency runs on crazy.
