• Their benefit program has gone downhill fast in the last few years, Worse is their bonus program for non-unionized employees. This program has includes a safety point system that is based on region not location or indivdual preformance, never mentions accomplishments in it, and none of any extra hours one puts in ias aknowledged (or appreciated) Staff shortages are cronic and this leads to accidents/mistakes. The worst yet is the be-littleing, critizing, and swearing of staff by those above. On more than one occasion had to witness a staff member crying because of this in front of customers and other staff. Customer service is the worst I have ever seen in my life. A very negative place to work and very negative employees which only adds to the poor customer service. Staff turn over is very high for a company that pays as well as it does and staff is non-existed in some locations. • Company has lost sight of the customer needs. Too many departments with personal axes to grind with each other and product is not supplied to customers as promised. Not enough compatition so they seem not to care,kind of like the Rogers cable attitude.

• Did not work there long. Found out the promises made were wrong. Went to a 3 day employee launch realized what they stand for is ignorant and not the proper morals and values I agree with. Was a very cold atmosphere. Was not given a safety orientation or anything. Would not recommend this company to anyone!!!!   read complete rating Hide complete rating

• I started with ALC in 2011. I came in after a major overhaul of employee programs. From what I heard previous to my employment, things were not so great. The improvements to employee recognition, safety and the general culture of the company has propelled it into becoming a great place to work.
  
  I have seen a few comments regarding customer relations being poor. Where I work, this is definitely not the case. Our cusomer response and relations are always number one. Management is very supportive of it's employees and goes to bat for them when required.
  
  I would whole-heartedly recommend Air Liquide to anyone considering employment with them. It's a company that is on the rise and definitely a secure place to work within this economy.   read complete rating Hide complete rating

• This is by far the worst company to ever work for and find the management promote friend or people who will look out for there best interest. • Good place to get some experience under your belt and leave. Upper management are afraid to make decisions. Not alot of opportunity to advance your career. The pay is low relative to competitors. I'd recommend staying for a few years, then moving on.   read complete rating Hide complete rating

• Personally, I think the company has been very fair with all employees and has even given some people a second chance to come back and change things up. This company is over 100 Yrs old, it's not because they make quick changes but sound ones. • Very sad place to work. I feel the company as whole is good but the Western Region is poor. The majority of management lack any skills to deal with the employee and are totally out of touch with what they need to do to fix the issues. Upper management protects "bad" management by securing their positions when they should be fired. Case in point is the AR manager who was promoted rather than fired when her whole department quit. There are pay inadequacy too numerous to talk about and kissing butt is the only way to make more money and to get ahead. It's sad really because the employees in the trenches are hard working and great people. Sadly the harder you work and the more you give at Air Liquide-Western region only burns you out and get's you stepped on. There is no recognition at all except..."Work harder, do more and get treated unjustly. I wish the Alberta Employment commission would look into some of the salary issues and how those with no experience get paid more than those with lots of experience. • As a former employee that runs into present employees, I hear the same thing from most that it's not like it used to be....sales are way down, no direction and management are hanging on and hoping they don't get the axe....sad really. Competitors are taking business right under their nose and they walk away. The wrong people in the wrong roles is a huge problem.   read complete rating Hide complete rating

• its an ok company..lost lots of its structure becouse of the downfall in the economy...to many changes in how the western region operates to the style from the eastern region...i've seen whole A.R department quit with in a week becouse of the of the manager of A.R at that time..departments in every area in a time of confusion..lots of blame going round..   read complete rating Hide complete rating
