When I started at this company several years ago, it was actually a pretty good place to work. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly. Now it's oppressive. Loblaws (I guess I should say Loblaw - and what a lot of money they saved by dropping that one little letter!) is incapable of making any headway. Their entire policy is reactive - running scared from WalMart, Costco, Metro, Longo's - they've lost their standing as a good food store and are grasping at straws to regain their place. Lousy policies, bad choices, crummy managers who see their staff as expendable - never seen morale so low, but I wouldn't be surprised if it goes lower still.
