Worked for this pathetic company for 15 years. Moved up in that time to lower management. This was the most racist company for 25 years. All full time was all white and mostly male. (...). Now since they have slept with the equally pathetic union, there is a three tier wage progression. I had part -time workers under me and let me tell you what they have to go through. The start at minimum wage and have to work 500 hours to get 50 cents raise. At 8 to 16 hours a week, it could take years to get the raise. Meanwhile Loblaws gives free food to people at events while they take wages, benefits and pensions from the employees. Most of the managers are inept. Instead of promoting from within the company, they hire people with university degrees who are useless and know nothing about grocery or retail. You dont have to believe me, check out the stock price that has plummeted when I left in 2003...........I once saw them move a wall 4 times during a renovation............truly pathetic company. All the old employees are just waiting for retirement. I am happy that I left...........Good Riddance!
