Before the combining of all the head offices into one at the Brampton crystal palace my company, Zehrs, was good to work for. They had their moments but overall had a lot more respect for their employees than the current crew at Loblaws H.O. A lot of good people were let go or marched out the door in favour of the gang in there now. You only have to look at the stock price to see they kept the wrong people who's vision and business savvy isn't working. They don't communicate with each other well. They treat their store level salaried staff like dirt. We are told when we must work and when we are not to take holidays among other things. Morale is so low that a large number of longer term employees will hardly even consider a dept. mgr. position. It just isn't worth the pay and stress. If one does accept a position, say goodbye to your kids and tell them you will be at their graduation, if the company will give you the time off.
Maybe they can go bankrupt and all the peeps that deserve to loose jobs will, then we can all LOAO!!! Glad I am out of here!
