I've been with Loblaws for 10+ years at the Maple Grove (read 'Grave') DC. This place has gone to hell in terms of morale, and has increased in 'grey area' policies. The Tell It As It Is meetings are very reflective of this. Low demonstration of management competency (based on % questioned), zero reccomendation to friends (or enemies, for that matter), and great dissatisfaction with employee/employer relations. 'Grey area' policies include, but are not limited to: Intimidation (boss standing next to and watching you while you work), dismissal ('if you don't like my shift, bid off. Here's the form'), cussing while speaking with an employee ('do I look like I'm near a f***ing printer?!'), and questionable safety practices ('leave the garbage on the floor, I have another guy who will get it').
