Horrible company. A complete example of how a massive cooperation can do whatever they want because jobs are currently in high demand. Under the new contract their strategy is basically to hire younger high school kids and immigrants who don't mind making $10 an hour for a shitty job under shitty conditions, which consequently screws over serious students and other people just looking for a simple part time job.There are absolutely no benefits and I have seen them shamelessly get rid of dedicated employees who have been with them for years just because they couldn't work a certain day of the week. If you want to work at a grocery store, work with a smaller store like No Frills. Stay away from this company.
Very well said!! I predict that Loblaw will be sold before this contract ends. Is this good or bad? Time will tell..............can't really get much worse.
No Frills is owned by Loblaws. So it probably isn't any better.
