I worked for this company for nine years. It was my first job and have to say that I enjoyed it very much when I first started there. Over about the last four years the company has changed in ways that I did not like. The store management uses employees by making them think they will get promotions if they go above and beyond for them. I spoke with the store manager about another employee harassing myself and another employee and they basically pushed it under the rug because this person was one of their minions. It is like being permanently stuck in high school. It can be a nightmare. The harder you work there the more trouble they give you. I hope that they realize what is going on before they lose more good people like myself. Human Resources needs to come up with some sort of strategic plan!
They need to start listening. They want you to go above in beyond, like making schedules so tight you don't even take your breaks because you feel responsible. Is this noticed or appreciated- nope but anything they think you aren't doing enough of sure is and is quickly pointed out. There are minions for sure.
