Don't blame your union, blame our membership for accepting the last

three shity contracts.I've worked for this company for 31 years and I have seen the good times and I don't know if it can get any worse right now. I understand your frustration but decertifying our union may not solve the problem. A strike would have sent a message to this company,

that we will not work for peanuts.

I'm putting full blame on the union!! They have no power against corporate giants!! Any union that loses to Walmart is a joke!

They receive full fees from ALL membership however what's the voting % of that membership!!!

It's all about cash these days!

A strike?

Have you completely lost your marbles??

UFCW is so dense that if their were to be a strike, the company still makes money. Only certain stores go on strike! All the others keep bringing in the doe!

I agree that we should have never voted for the last 3 contracts. The union is in the companies back pocket. Every answer to my question gets answered like "for the need of the business". When the company was building all the new stores that was the time for us to strike and fight for a better future. Now I think we are just stuck in a bad situation.

Yes fools. Get rid of your union then see how much better off you are just dealing with your employer. I guess you don't mind being out of a job like I am from Sears.

You folks are not too brights.

Your comment doesn't make any sense.

The union is doing the same thing that the OLRA can do!

But here's the thing! As Loblaws keeps cutting our wages with every contract the turnover with staff will increase. Customer Service will be a joke and the whole "you get what you pay for" will take effect!

So perhaps it is you who is not too "brights" (sic)

xD

Blame your lazy coworkers and not the UFCW - yeah, it's the UFCW's fault only 30% of the membership bothered to vote. In my opinion, every one of those who didn't get out to vote brought this upon us. We became Great Foods because 56% of 30% of the membership that voted accepted the piece of shit collective agreement. I voted STRIKE...and I'll do it again in 2015.

The union has its head up the company's a##.

We were misinformed when the contract was given to us.

How come step down scheduling wasn't explained to the voters? Or the red line...or scheduling the bottom employees 2-3shifts a week? How come all of the previous language and letters of understanding were removed or beneff
