loblaw more specifically the Y.I.G banner has just called me to tell me to watch what i say on facebook about my bosses as it gets back to the owner. I was actually told by the owner that he would only swing at me twice, missing the first time but connecting with the second...which he quickly followed with "metaphorically speaking". Any meetings i have from now on will be recorded with my bosses knowledge of course, just to protect myself. The nepotisim in this company is ridiculous, my store has wifes and husbands, friends and family all working together this inevitably leads to conflicts of intrest. My store is non-union but i will be pursueing joining the union.
I do believe by the sounds of things your boss is a bully. He can't get away with threats like that. Protect your self and never be alone with him in the same room. I do agree that everyone should watch what they say. People do have a way of listening to things that don't concern them and then they repeat what they thought they heard (gossiping). Just be careful.
Sorry to inform you this, but the Union will do nothing, save your money and put your union dues towards a real lawyer
