I work at Superstore in Alberta and have for over 15 years, I like my job but I do not like the way this company has treated the long term employees, and the new folks trying to earn a buck. Its no wonder they cant retain employees, if I was just starting I wouldnt stick around either. They lie to these new employees,the so called wage they advertise is not a real wage its a lie ---- then they tell you that they are incentives but, they have the right to take it away at any time. New employees when receiving their first pay cheque (assuming the information was sent to pay roll) find out pretty quick that the wage they advertise on the window, in the news paper, and at the job fair is nothing but a lie and its been my experience that people dont like to be lied to. why would I think that they are not lying to me!! If you are thinking of coming to work for Superstore call the Union (UFCW401) first at least they will tell you the truth.
