I worked fir Loblaw for years and thus past year at the new DC is the worst ever in my time with this company. Management doesn't care about anyone and to all people out there if you get into an accident with their trucks where you almost die. You will and I mean you will be FIRED.. Without cause.
What's it like being a driver for them
Good question. I looked into it and was told 'newby drivers' get all the worst runs, work every weekend. That could go on for years too due to 'seniority' rankings. Hope you like northern Ontario that's where you're going to be going every week. Gordon Foods is just as bad, you get no Holidays off if the customer is open, and most restaurants are, and you have to hand bomb your entire load down ramps, stairs, etc. They use big rigs like delivery vans, 18 stops in 12 hours. Food industry driving sucks.
