i would not recommend anyone starting to work for this company, it was good 20 years ago but now they expect you to have no outside life and be at their disposal at all times
This is what I've heard from other Loblaws employees. They also tell me that law prohibits a company from lowering salaries if the company is turning over a profit, so Loblaws will be converting all Loblaws stores into Super Stores, No Frills and "Loblaw" (dropping the "s" creates a new chain of grocery stores) for the sole purpose of lowering employee salaries and benefits significantly, while the top management pull in unprecedented profits, all at the expense of their employees.
