If every full time employee refused to work this sunday, or any sunday, (which is our full right!) all those idiot general managers would realize how important all the full/part time employees are to this company! And if that doesn't do it, let them come in and work on sunday!!!

Right now with all the stress of work load/hours cut/schedule changes, they are digging the grave to this one time great company.

To all existing employee's , USE YOUR SICK DAYS, because "if you don't use them.....prepare to lose them"

thnax

disgruntled ,pissed off, long term employee

To all other possible future employees , DON'T DO IT!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!! You can get a much better paying job elsewhere, anywhere, anytime. Do not get sucked into this Union run hell hole of a job!

The company has decided to open some stores 24 hours, soon all will be open 24/7 days a week. Employees have to be available to work what ever extended hours in that department need be. You don't work it, your fired? Yet when they were hired, there was no mention of 24 hour or later work hours!

I hope that someone in head office reads all the negative input that has been written here, and maybe someone will have the balls to do something about it!

maybe Mr. Shatner can help..............

Having to work Sundays depends on your personal actions. If you take the buy down, be sure that you aren't waiving your right to not work Sundays in exchange for the monies you are receiving. Also when you take the buy down is critical (there was a loop hole when buy downs were being offered which has since been changed). Be sure to ask the question before signing anything. Check out the Employment Standards Act and Human RIghts regarding laws to protect you in this regard and file a grievance with your union!

You guys are all due for a major strike revolving around all Loblaws Stores. Too bad your union is like another branch of management (so I'm told).
