I have a question. I applied, was interviewed...had me fill out a shitload of paperwork..because I didn't have my ID, I was asked to come back next day with it. When I went back and gave them my ID, I was told "WHEN I HEAR BACK FROM THESE PEOPLE, I WILL CALL YOU" what does that even mean? who are they waiting to hear back from? why did he even bother having my sign a bunch of papers?
They are probably waiting for a backcheck to clear. All employees must clear a backcheck to work for the company.
Back Check for sure! Were you not told during the initial phone conversation to bring your ID with you? Actually weren't you told there is a background check? This is all standard information that should have been given to you when setting a time for your interview. If you can't follow simple instructions and bring the proper documentation with you, this shows that you are probably not a likely candidate for a job! It costs $$$ to have a back check done. Since you came to the interview unprepared, I'm guessing they didn't even send your info through.
