I would not recommend this company to anyone. There's no incentive and nothing matters except to get the customers in and out as fast as possible. Managers do not manage anymore, everything comes from the head office. A lot of wasted time in the stores with the short list. Looking for missing items while half the order sits in the warehouse. Work the damn order then look for missing products. Millions of dollars wasted with the new computerized ordering system. Over all a very unpleasant place to work.
blame the union, not management. Management has no jurisdiction over part-time/full-time unionized salaries.
You cannot blame the Union in the Maritime Provinces.There are a handful of stores unionized. The DC are unionized.I believe there may be 5 stores that are unionized carried over from the Old Dominion Stores. Ten or Twelve hour Days are normal.You work until your task list is completed.The last 5 years have beenunbelievable as far as work/life balance. They just do not care.It is expected. Especially if you are in a Department Mangers Role or Assistant Managers Role.
