I'm a cashier at an Atlantic Superstore location in New Brunswick, and I'm surprised the ratings are so low. I love my job, and that's saying a lot considering I'm a cashier! I have been working here for 3 years and the people I work with are amazing. Whenever I need time off I always get it, I always get lots of hours, and my supervisors are great people. No complaints here.
that's cos the people out east are more laid back than Ontario. If Ontario gets any worse I'm moving out east! It's great you enjoy your job and you have good people to work with.
I love hearing this but oh, how I wish i could say the same thing. I hope that I can enjoy my workplace one day as much as you do. I am happy for you.
I am happy for you too but maybe you are further removed from the people in the ivory tower might be part of it. To think these people are in bed with CBC, makes me ill.
So lucky for you. I work in Calgary, and I can almost never get any time off when I requested, the manager told me if I need some short time off I need to just tell the supervisor and he/she'll help switch a shift for me when I have emergencies like school exams or illnesses. But when went to see my supervisor, he looked really pissed off and asked me to find my own replacement, when I told him all my acquaintances were not available on the day that I had requested, he simply turned me out of the door and told me he can do nothing and if I don't show up for work I'll get in trouble. And this remark came from a company that had sworn that they have flexible hours to fit our needs, what a joke.
