I have been at Loblaws for some time. The company has always required alot of effort but if you follow company policy and do your job you will be fine.My sisters boy works for Walmart and when I hear the horror stories it makes me feel lucky.
Rater 89 and Rater 109 are the only ones who give such a high star rating to Loblaws ... which suspects me to think you are doing damage control. The way you word your remarks are just too obvious. Your gleaming remarks while the majority are obviously very unhappy and discouraged?Your employees are not idiots - GET THIS INTO YOUR HEADS - they're your greatest asset ...address their issues ... even better, get on the sales floor and deal with the issues - reduced labour hours, out of stocks, broken equipment, customers who SPIT on their hands before they hand the cashier the money to pay for their groceries, working in stores late at night in neighbourhoods fraught with crime.
Most people would refer to your sisters boy ... as your nephew. Very odd.
Implying Loblaws is better than Walmart - that's the most damming faint praise! lmao
In fact I find you comment VERY untrue!!!! It seems in our store if you do the work they are the ones that get treated poorly. It necer seems to be the doggers that do. Perhaps it is because they are suck ups!!!!
I SMELL A RAT!!!!!! Yep damage control. Unreal... "Galen, you broke my heart. I know it's you!"
Interesting so I had to check it out myself. Walmart is doing much better in the ratings than Loblaws. I found one review, although a bad review, it tells me walmart employees are more content. 1 review vs 131 reviews.
Worked for this company for 25 years. Helped me through school, receiving my BA, BSW, M.ED. Full-time teacher, however, wanting to maintain my part-time job at loblaws. I am disguisted with the way this company is going. Loblaws vision is to make the profit without taking care of their employees. Shame on you Galen Jr. Weston!!
Loblaws was always an exemplary grocery company - not anymore. This company had a long term vision for it's company to make profits and take care of their employees. When employees are happy, employees are happier citizens. By killing good work ethics and moral, what kind of society are you hoping to achieve Mr. Galen Jr. Weston?
With all the negative comments, why all the stars? If the company is refusing to take really exaime the negative feedback, then the company is in real trouble, if not already so. I am an employee and a shareholder. I think I need to seel my shares fast before they go lower!
