Former fast food workers beware of this company. Yeah the job is a million times easier and a million times less stressful but that kind of thinking is how they try and sink their claws into you. On paper they make us all these promises of raises, benefits like our burger flipping jobs have promised us all before and for my job in particular, a promotion as soon as a position opens up in another department. It's been more then 2 and half years later, I'm still working for minimum wage, still pushing carts through snowstorms, rainstorms and whatever the weather throws at us. The only difference is that I've finished college they're beginning to ask us to stay without and constellation or reason to not apply for that career that garnishes more respect and pay then any of the positions offered in this dump. Going to hand my 2 weeks again hopefully this time they don't shred it and argue with me on why I should stay like they've done before with not only myself but many others who can see the grass is greener on the other side.
Wait a minute . .so you quit .. and you are still working there? Why?
Perhaps bills had to be paid and food was needed in the belly. Maybe you can offer a better job to Rater 98? If not (which I suspect), quit your criticizing. There are decent hard working Canadians trying to get by, frustrated by their jobs, not appreciated and not on government assistance, sacrificing their family time. And they keep working to keep their bills paid.It just occurred to me ... maybe you work under Galen in the Loblaws tower? Or maybe you're a UFCW "employee" ....
