I find the Loblaw Maple Grove facility a great place to work. It is clean, rewarding finacialy to those who offer initiative, and is open to advancement for those who have a decent work ethic. This work place offers back what they receive; a competitive wage for resonable work load expectation. As any company faced with the reality of a highly competitive consumer market, Loblaw has been forced to react accordingly. This has meant certain sacrifices have been necessary but I for one am very willing to accept these sacrifices if it means stable employement. With the proper positive attitude put forward Loblaw can be a great place to work.
Obviously you are hired by loblaw to control bad P/R. Listen I work there and it is nothing like what you have said! What maple grove offers is stress ongoing intimidation to its employees and a foul work environment! You are totally wrong.
I, agree not a good place to work.
Rater 89 is a budding stand-up comic with bad jokes or is beyond self-delusion. I work at the Maple Grove facility and it is NOT a great place to work. If anyone out there takes the time to find out why they got that rating, you will uncover that it was 1 President's Choice Circle (the Head office) in Brampton that is a "great place to work." Drive by the sparkling facility and you will see they have all of the amenities such as squash and basketball courts, an in-house grocery store/cafeteria with "fresh" not "boxed/frozen" food AND they treat you like family. Maple Grove is called Maple Grave for a reason - they kill your soul day in and day out. Another reason why Loblaws is a "great" place to work... Pfft.
I like how Galen Weston Jr. plays out on loblaws commercials that everything is honkey dorry, when in fact they do treat "maple grave" employees like dirt! I guess the company modo is " making Loblaws #1 again" at the expense of it's employees.... Rater 89 is obviously dilusional and ignorant to what is happening right now @ Maple Grove!
From someone who worked at 1PCC, trust me, it was no freaking picnic. It was the worst work experience I have ever had. Yeah, it looks great on the outside, but the fitness facility, cafeteria, grocery store etc is pretty much the only bright thing about that place. Morale in the departments I saw was the lowest I've experience.
Wow! I never realized that 1 president's choice circle was a "not so great" place to work! Perhaps Galen should spend less time aggrandizing himself in front of the tv cameras and more time actually inside of the head office... Or Maple grove for that matter. There is a show on television now that features bosses going into companies undercover. Not only would Galen wash out in 15 minutes of Maple Grave, he'd sell the company and change his name. He should be ashamed of himself for being president and ceo of the company. It's ran terrible. I now know why it's called president's choice. The president in question is the one who rhymes with bush! Terrible!
