I have never seen a company so greedy, they make all time record sales and have cut backs because times are hard.Now they make everybody wear 120 dollar safety shoes which employee has to buy out of there own pocket and some people there don't even make that much money in 2 week because they don't get any hours.

If you work at the Maplegrove facility in Cambridge, you will get an $80 payment on your paycheque that, of course, is taxed. But ask ANY assembler or anyone who has to walk, not just sit on a forklift, you go through about 2 pairs a year. And with safety boots not exactly $10-dollar items, there goes a lot of your wages for boots. And if you are a part-timer making only 12 bucks/hour, there goes your week's worth of wages for what? Boots that you are required by law to wear.

You can get a discount at mark's work warehouse too, if they've advertised as such.

you should check out the Loblaws vennego site for saving money on the boots and many other things.you have to register on it buts worth the trouble http://loblaw.venngo.com/index.php?base=/welcome

Loblaw noted a reduced earnings last quarter.. 400 billion after paying labour costs of over 200 billion (this includes all costs-wages, benefits, pension pmts., wcb claims etc).. and Gaylon Weston lost 6% of his expected worth also look it up-fact... as to the shoe discount.. income tax benefit only for most locations Walmart Safety shoes less than $50.00 with not discount, Marks over $150.00 with discount
