Glad I quit my job at tes, and have gone elsewhere. They have not gained any share in the market since they opened door back in the early 90's. You'd think after 20 years you would have made some kind of impact. Well they have, how NOT to run a business. Inept leadership and managers put in place just to fill the spot and set up to fail.

I've never worked for a company where you *don't* get paid for work rendered. Overtime? Wow. Need an hour off to attend a dental appointment? Nope! But this is *after* working over 100 UNPAID hours! If the choice was working at Torbram (you work overtime and Saturdays for free and are poorly compensated on all fronts) and moving elsewhere to secure gainful employment, I'd move.

This may have been a good company if the owners weren,t simply using it as a tax write off, showing a continual annual loss of profit to benefit the overseas company. Worked for TES for eleven years now they have taken care of me every step of the way!

I worked there, the place left me almost suicidal. No, for real. Horrible hours, a lot of unnessessary pressure, dismal atmosphere. Customers that ated the place and they sold merchandise that you could find in a Dollarama.

If you want to Kiss ass. Just keep saying yes, yes, yes to upper management. Give up your evenings and weekends. Take verbal abuse from management. You can get ahead in this company. I had an unfortunate experience with Torbram and will be happy to no longer be apart of the Torbram culture. I was told I was guaranteed a bonus at the end of the fiscal year, but I never received any bonus at all. I was told the branch never made a profit, but that's not was I was told. I just left this company. I don't see a future with them. There is no leadership or direction. I need a career not a job and the way Torbram conducts business it will never be anything but a job. Torbram has really destroyed their own reputation in Canada and because of that I'm out.

Good company to work for.

Diffrent from any other competitors, that's what makes the difference, completly independant.

Same or better salary than others.

Still didn't get incentives but we'll get there.

having a hard time with turnover but it's getting there.

lots of work to do to bring the numbers up.

Torbram is a great company to work for, very friendly staff through out the lower-mainland, anyone "bashing" the company as a whole, has clearly been offended and/or terminated by Torbram for their own various reasons. Anyone who already works in the electrical wholesale industry knows that this company is a joke... but for anyone who is new, or from outside the industry (which is the only people Torbram can attract), be warned;
