i'm a fairly new employee with only a little over 25 years. Great when I started, but management changes and new directions/policies have made it quite haphazard. They change IT staff as if they were changing socks.

CAE is a company that is focusing on profits and not quality or employees. They will hire a lot of new people will little experience and expect them to understand complex aircraft systems with little to no training. The turnover rate is very high. They hire dozens of employees at a time with no vision or idea what they will do (most sit around twiddling thumbs waiting for some guidance). Before the 6 mth probation is up they usually fire most of them, then rehire again - with absolutely no benefits paid. What a neat trick to not have to pay benefits and the pay is so low to begin with. Avoid this place like...

On a general note sure one of the best employers out there, lots of possibilities and great foresight in choosing the "right" technologies and having a vision of being a first class software development company. Looking at what is going on inside is a different story not as easily answered. Many a thing, structures and procedures are outdated, not fully functional and need a major overhaul.

Many of us agents are waiting for well deserved increases for our hard work and making money for a company that doesn't care.

Good company to start a career but don't stay or your brain will switch off... Don't expect promotions based on your capabilities. Salaries and grades are strictly based on preset algorithms. Flex-time is a plus but expect a lot of stress due to continuous very tight schedules. The building is old and not well maintained and doesn't provide a very pleasant working environment.
