You have to wonder when the whole first day of employment in training is spent trying to convince you of how great an organization it is to work for...I mean they pay you to watch video testimonials from other employees saying how much they love their job with TD! We worked hard, but we enjoyed our work, and we enjoyed our customers. In the last 10 years

TD is a very stressful place to work, I would not recommend working thier, all they want you to do is Sell sell sell, and if you have a week where your sales are down you are tantilzed and put into meetings and they try to make you quit and they are very negative. Very low morale, I wish we could all do something to bring attention to how employees are treated in this company

TD Canada Trust is a great place to work (which is why I have been there for the past 20 years). They truly care about their employee's. They have a great balance between work and family life, excellent training systems, recognize your achievements and have great opportunities for advancement. I love working for this company.

TD Bank is an outstanding company to work for. The strategy is simple and consistent and the clear focus on the customer and employee experience make it a really motivating environment. Lastly it has a healthy performance culture. I would highly recommend TD as a great employer & place to work!

This has to be the worst employer I have worked for. TD Bank not only treated me like garbage when I worked for them , however after I quit they treated me even worse. I was given attitude and disrespected both professionally and personally. My last pay cheque was given to me after one month of my decision to leave. After my training I wasnt sent to a branch because the TD recruitment kept making...

I worked at main branch downtown toronto. TD "deleted" several teller positions as well as managers (one was with the company for 35 years, another for 15) only to have new "openings" in the same branch for both tellers and managers once they got rid of those high salleries. Very poor practice on TD's part.

low morale caused by bad managers - actually the worst managers ever. management try to control your life. they don't let you have a life, though they claim so. there is no respect from the upper management at all. don't work for this company.

Although I would say TD is horrible to work for, I've heard bad things about working for the other major Canadian banks too, and great things about credit unions, so my advice is stay away.

Its a great company. I have worked for much worse. The people, I work with and their cultural diversity, is the best part of the job. You need to take the personal initiative to move on and develop yourself as other advancement opportunities do exist constantly. Banking can be this comfortable ... until I retire anyways ....

The company had a terrific sales pitch in the job interview for my position, however once I was hired the truth began to show. The training program was horrific, and all the wonderful benefits I was sold on never came to fruition. Management doesn't care about your talents, all they care about is your ability to sell. I was told my conversations are terrific if I was a paid consultant advising my...

Working at TD Securities was nice! It was plush surroundings and a beautiful office. No complaints really, except major decisions must come in from Toronto. Overall a great bunch to work with but again, it's how well you can kiss the boss' ass that will get you anywhere. My boss has been there when the Earth was built so she will never get fired and I will never get promoted if she is there. ...

Expect enormous pressure to sell, sell and sell more. Enough is never enough. Also expect to be micro-managed. This company has taken dumbing down an organization to new levels; all in the name of standardizing service levels. Many talented people, young and older, have left and talented people have been hard to find and keep. Stay away.

Once TD "took" over Canada Trust morale went completely downhill. The BIG bully was upon us. We were "pushed" to sell, sell, sell. Customer service sunk. The atmosphere at our particular branch was very poisonus. Many people left and are still leaving. I would never recommend this bank to anyone.

To be honest, it is such a HUGE company so it depends on which department that you work at first off. If you work in the branches which are totally sales driven, then yes, you are going to be pushed, micro-managed and have every minute of your filled with little things to do. Also, having to deal with customer complaints.

Benefits are great. Free banking and discounted products as well as...

Like many other big companies, ratings depends on your direct managers. I've been with the bank for a few years and worked for two groups. Neither of them gave me a good impression. Not recommended for all those who have families and friends. Advancement is not about how well you perform or how capable you are; it's about who you know and how well you praise the senior management. Benefits is not the best within the banking industry. Lots of make-work projects that prove no values. Senior management utilize micro-management and not flexible to ideas from employees.
