I've worked for the company for over 7 years and it's been great. I've seen the world flying for next to nothing and have always enjoyed going to work. the company pays 100 of what other companies pay and then you get profit share and 20% of your gross salary in stock if you choose. i've saved a ton of money. people who know me make more than me but i've saved tens of thousands more. I recently left WestJet and am already contemplating returning. WestJet went through some serious growing pains 2-3 years ago as it restructed its upper management, which caused some dissatisfaction...but the bottom line is that the employees are being listened to, and changes have been made. Salaries have improved, schedules have improved and WestJet is currently the only profitable airline in...

Terrible place to work. Some staff members act like they're still in highschool. This is a business people! Act professional! I don't want to know what guy you ended up with the night before at the last destination you were at. The pay isn't great, benefits could be a lot better and room for advancement is slim.

I like working in the call centre, have been there just under a year now and find most everyone to be nice and helpful. The crankiest and loudest are the ones who have been there too long and are too scared to get another job I think. People ignore you if all you do is complain FYI. I think it is nice that we get anything like food, or coffee. I feel like they don't "owe" me that, so, I...

I find it remarkable that there are people out there truly disappointed with their WestJet employment experience. it is true the culture is cult like - it's really hard not to get sucked into something that is so positive and so fun! I have worked in multiple areas and have enjoyed them all. Like anywhere there are things that don't work perfectly for me and if you realize that you'll realize...

I would say that this is a company with alot of growing pains. They have recently changed the executives at the helm and it has created a few hiccups along the way. One of the things that is amazing really is the culture. Call it cult like if you will, but there's a freedom to show your pride in many facets of the organization. Sadly, the area I work in, the call centre has really lost that....

As a flight attendant working full time I get 13-17 days off a month. That can't be beat. Also can't beat the cheep vacations I get to take with friends. Pay is average, but what else should I expect.. I'm a flight attendant not a doctor. Its a fun easy job, with tons of time off and great travel benefits. And the company does a lot to keep us happy.

I worked for WJ for 6 years. Then I went elsewhere thinking the grass was greener. Not. I regret leaving WJ. The 20% share purchase plan is not to be matched anywhere else. Profit share - well it could be better, and more up front. People, when I worked there - they were my family. Where I am now, NOT. I hear the atmosphere has changed a lot, not so much fun and playfullness. But 4 years...

All in all a good company to work for. The flight benefits are mediocre and they have no real deals with any major airlines. Profit share is alright, after its raped by taxes you come out on top.

Started at WestJet for s spring short term job. As with any other company it has it's growing pains but, it is a company where your work and dedication are recognized. That hard work has been very benificial when it comes to taking on a new position or getting promoted. WestJet is very big on promotion from within. $ years Plus and going strong.

It's a decent place to work if you're a flight attendant or a pilot. Any other job description results in mediocrity. Many managers are former flight attendants - regardless of their qualifications for their new position. Many simply don't know what they're doing. A few years ago, they stopped having employees do management feedback forms, because managers scored so low and the feedback was...

I had to sue them in small claims court to get my rightful profit share. I'll bet their legal costs trying to defend themselves were at least twice what they had to pay me in the end (> $15,000) . The most unprincipled, duplicitous, arrogant company I have worked for.
