Thanks so much for this website! There is so little space left on the net for workers to talk honestly about their experiences. I worked at Revera for several years and saw the quality of care decline along with the treatment of the workforce.

In the last 2 years this company has gone from a respectable, caring organization to a money-grabbing machine.To show their appreciation ro their employees they hold a token barbeque in the summer, in which everyone gets to participate (on their break only), give them a dollar store trinket and send them back to make more $$ for the company. Revera is a HORRIBLE COMPANY to work for! The site I work at is great but the regional managers and above at head office do not have a clue as to what they are doing. This company is being run into the ground by a bunch of yes men and hitler like figures! They treat there managers at a site level horribly and the managers are all under paid and overworked with considerable stress cleaning up...

There is not a lot more to be said. It's not just the tenants that are unhappy, the employee, managers but I think even some of the low end people at head office. The only people that are happy are the ones with the large bonuses.

I was told about this website by an employee at Revera. I know things are bad at Revera, and it true that a great majority of people are unhappy and see Revera as money grabbing and without ethics, but in some ways its good to know I am not alone in thinking this place needs a complete over haul. Please consider before you work there in ANY capacity, NO ONE IS SAFE and that includes EVERYONE....

This an awful company to work for, they lack ethics and professionalism. Employees are not given any respect or appreciation, pay is never accurate and they will force you to work outside of your availability

This company is suppose to be in the hospitality business. They treat the staff like they are garbage. Their motto: If you don't like it there is the door. I finally took the hint. They don't want caring staff and management they want MONEY MONEY MONEY. I know a business needs to make money, but not on the backs of the staff and residents.

Staff are so stressed and they are suffering greatly. No one really hears or sees this. Management needs to really go to people and truly see what is happening. Seriously, people are feeling so much anguish.

The upper management i.e. head office has no idea what they are doing. Loosing far to many good staff, because they dare to say "what your doing to the seniors is wrong" shame on you

How often can this company get a bad rating and yet do nothing. I still work there and either people are looking for a job, bad mouthing the company, or are just so afraid of being anywhere else. I work at Forest Heights LTCC and proud to say I do. Although my work load is extremley heavy and stressfull I do like the company. Revera lies and is not a "employers of choice" is an employer of pain, they ruin lives and tries to pretend they are a good place to work. Check the people who work for then who have stayed, trust me they are not nice people. Better places to work.

What an awful place to work. The atmosphere is toxic. The higher ups think they know the building and the seniors who live here better than we do. People are angry that Revera is now running the show. No wonder a union came in

I can't believe what this company gets away with. Seems like people who express any opinion that isn't theirs soon find the door open and they are kicked out. People are not important to them

and as far as the seniors go they reduce services but increase rents.......look some where else

Very Poor Work Life Balance

Fragmented and low integrity. Too many bosses not enough workers. Revera lies to you. Not a nice company to work for. Not sure the managers know what head office is doing. To many lay offs not enough workers, doing more with less. Please dont work here.......you will regret it

Do NOT even consider working for this farce of a co. Totally not employee or resident focused. Bottom line is money. No Respect, Integrity, Compassion, or ethics. This is their motto, but co. does not live up to it. Lots of lip service with no follow through.

Senior Management do not care about people, only money and NOI, the senior management only look to make their bonuses and do not care about seniors, realty assets oriented, that all it matters, no respect for staff and the hard work they are putting into that company. No judgement by senior management, improvisation to make decision, poor leadership by top management.

Top heavy management with no leadership, guidance and direction. Must fit into the clone way of thinking and being. Individuality is not accepted here. You become a sheep working with sheeps in wolves clothing.

Great with numbers- in fact you become one- but not great with the people this company is supposed to be built on. Front line staff are dispensable. No positive feedback, the only time you will hear from the top heavy management teams are when the numbers are going down.

This company has changed dramatically in the past 5 years. The management and leadership is horrible. All of the great leadership has abandoned ship and went to Chartwell. Advancement is based on how much you pucker up.

No leadership. Too many bosses. Salary is not compensatory to experience. Regards only bottom line and does not care for the people they are supposed to be caring for. Does not follow there own motto of excellence, compassion, integrity and pride concerning revera employees or residents.

This company feels that running on skeleton crew, removing of hours, staff and morale is justified. Making changes for a leaner company while making a larger load on everybody. Does not listen to staff and knows the residents won't move as the hassel is too much..

Do not go here.

Irratic decision making. Poor leadership, Left hand doesnt know what right hand is doing. Lots of Safety and residents risk issues involved. Company moving from Care based to Hospitality has put residents as well as professional at risk. Join only if you dont have any alternative job in hand.
