Canada Post is a good employer in that it allows employees to work as hard as they can and still have more to do. However, some employees, such as RSMCs, are not fairly compensated for the work they do and deserve parity with their urban letter carriers. When our child also saidv this was true we wan't something done to this " Boss ". The Director of C.P Wpg. wanted us to bring in our child and question him ! I still get a sick feeling every time I think of this ignorant Company !

Mail carriers used to be a position of pride and great for a persons family life and physical fitness, but since they started their postal transformation, the carriers bodies are broken due to sheer work overload, a family life is nil since most work from 7am to 8pm andit is just an embarassament knowing how many customer's don't receive mail daily because management refuses to hire staff to...

I had always believed working for the Post Office would be an honourable profession to choose. I started in 1978. The wage and benefit package was great at the time when CPC was still a government department. Since moving to a Crown Corporation, the Management responsible for decision-making has evolved into a self-serving greedy group who care nothing about honour. CPC says all the right things....

It's all true they preach safety but won't practice it ..especially to cut costs. Supervisors intimidate and harass employees to get what they want. Bad working environment..toxic. If they didn't offer decent wage and benefits people wouldn't put up with it. Feel like the Company is corrupt from top to bottom on the management end of things.

Discriminatory employer with respect to rural mail carriers, the majority of which are women. Very low pay, must provide own vehicle, must provide own replacement, health and safety issues are not addressed, no bonus, no prescription drug plan, no sick time, no uniforms, different rules/treatment from urban postal workers. Yet this corporation still makes the top 100 employers each year?

Definately profit is the key, no matter your health or stress level. They preach safety , but never practice what they preach. They add on to mail routes that are already long enough... especially during winter months...load you up with advertisemenst/flyers... all to make a larger profit on the backs of their employees. They don't care about your health... they care about one thing ...profit...

Everything you hear about the NEGATIVE environment at Canada Post is 100% true. This is not the place you want to invest your years...you'll never get recognition and you'll always be treated like dirt. Why this type of management is allowed to persist in 2010...I don't know and I ask myself that question EVERY day. I think they can get away with treating their employees like absolute garbage...

Canada post does not care about it's employees. While there are many positives to this company, management is slowly working to take them all away. In my city we have employees with up to 18 years of service drop it all to quit.
