Having worked for this organization at a management level for 2 decades plus I have to agree with many of the comments, many words are spoken from regional and head office "leaders" about ensuring staff have a good work/home life balance but if anyone tries to exercise this the primary factor in trying to make it work is what the impact is on the business unit.

Career progression is based on...

I worked at TD for two year before deciding that was enough of it's corrupted world. At first I liked working there, They gave you benefits, holiday pay and are all decent people, that is until you really get to know them. We were consistently one of the best branches, until a year into my time there our branch manager retired and they brought in a new guy, he then brought in his own team of high...

I am currently working for TD Canada Trust and I have been here for 3.5 years now as a F/T CSR. I have read some of the comments and some are very true but each branch is VERY different. The branch I work at I feel soooo lucky, it is a small branch and everyone is between 20-35 years old so we all get along very well and our managers are awesome. On another note......TD has very high expectations...

TD is the worst company I've ever worked for. Unfortunately I'm still stuck there. The company boasts about work/life balance but there is no such thing. IF you are not a manager, your schedule is all over the place. Today you're 12-8, tomorrow you're 8-4 and repeat. The body or mind doesn't get adequate rest. However, management gets a permanent set schedule in which they don't even need to work...

I've been with TD for 5 years, all of it in retail branches, and I have to say that employee experiences really differ from branch to branch. TD Audit is an incredibly hostile and insidious environment to work in. Staff are of no value, Staff are told, "You're job is to earn a pay cheque". TDCT was a stepping stone. There is little room for movement if you are on the retail side of the business. Corporate opportunities did not appear often in the regions and you would need to be in Toronto for any real corporate options.
