I worked here for 10 months, the worst, worst job EVER! terrible supervisors, highly stressful, no motivation, HORRIBLE management, and the pay is terrible! do not, ever, consider this job. the only advantage is the flexible scheduling, but after a while they get tired of you and want to schedule you the way their system works.

I would only recommend this place to people who are between jobs. Their idea of motivation is to use threats against their employees. And to the person who said its an okay job if you show up and just do your work, you need more life experience. I worked there a lot longer than you, I showed up for all of my shifts and after picking up extra shifts and staying late almost every time they ask, the...

As a person who has worked at another survey call centre in the past, I can say with confidence that Elemental Data is a terrible place to work, even within it's own industry. I'm still here while I apply to other jobs and go to school, but it's ridiculous.

First of all, I will point out that other similar centres pay 11-12 dollars per hour and elemental pays 10.

On day one of working here...

This is the worst place to work. The worst job I have ever had. (...). The supervisors are horrible. They micro-manage everything which brings down productivity. They are constantly hiring because everyone quits. If the owners had any business sense they would realize that having such high turn over is not good for their company. It's ok if you're desperate for work and are a teenager, and don't...

Quality guy: "How did you think you did on that call?"

"Why did you do this?"

"I'm sorry, I thought that was what I was supposed to do"

"Why did you stop dialing?"

I've only been working here a couple weeks and this ranks as the worst job I've ever held. And I've had terrible jobs. I've pumped gas. I've washed dishes. I've cleaned toilets. I've even done market research before. But as horrible as that was (and market research is a gross industry all the way around) this is far worse.

I worked for Elemental Data Collection for 3 months and I was not happy with the job. This is mostly due to the fact that the vast majority of my shifts (for a month and a half) were waitlisted and I ended up only working 1 shift a week for a month and a half. They said it was because of my performance but according to a posting of employees performance I was average. Also a lot of other workers...

I finally decided to quit this job after about 3 months of working there. At the beginning, it wasn't too bad, but when the day shifts were no longer available, I lost all my free evenings just to complete the minimum hours.

Also, somehow they expect the rate for a beautiful Sunday afternoon, where 1 in 40 people pick up their phone, to be the same as a Tuesday evening where the poor people...

Extremely depressing work environment. They have a strange contract that allows them to not pay you under certain, very likely circumstances. Both the people you are calling and the management or not nice at all, which makes the job very difficult to endure. Most breaks are unpaid, and if they are paid chances are you will have to work through them anyway.

Absolutely THE worst company I have ever worked for. Supervisors are children who clearly have had no management experience OR training. They promote on the basis of how long you stay around, not on competency for the position. Employees are treated like dirt. Recruitment and training is ongoing as almost nobody stays for long.....

Elemental sucks but the supervisors are great and so are most of the people who work there! They always give me a good laugh. However I have been there for 20 months and I want to die. And the people we call are generally not all there, in other words they have a few lose screws. (in my opinion) but then again in this line of work employees opinions generally don't matter....

I worked for this company for 3 months because it was easy to get hired. The employee turnover rate is ridiculously high and from the way they treat new employees you know they're definitely aware of this. I want to write a completely honest unbiased review here, as it seems a lot of people have written negative reviews out of obvious anger about something they probably did wrong. Elemental Data isn't without its negative points, but it's also not without it's positive. Judge for yourself:

If you want a job where you are expected to do the basic job and if you do, you get rewarded with gift certificates and are left to work autonumously then work here. This company would do well to improve the professionalism of the management and their policies. In addition, having cheap equipment like small, unresponsive computer mice is unacceptable, and also is the lack of headsets. I was only able to stomach working here a little over a month. I was lured in by the "flexible schedule" and the promise of $10/hr. Yeah, no. Try less than $8.25/hr. They neglected to tell you that when you start, which I'm pretty sure is illegal anyway. I hated having to change cubicles all the time, which wasn't my main gripe, mind you.

Pretty bad job. They lure you in with the flexible hours, but really, the supervisors like everyone else has said would rather tell you how bad you're doing when you do bad, then how good you're doing when you do good. The employers have no business ethics when it comes to treating their employees with respect. There are no headsets so you have to sit at a desk for 5 hours with a telephone received smashed against your ear. The only good thing is it is easy work and the hours are flexible. The workers at this company have very poor staff morale. Management is very much into micromanagement. Day shift supervisors are on a bigtime power trip. As a result, nobody wants to work the day shift. If you work for this company it is best to avoid the day shift and work nights. Supervisors are more reasonable nights and weekends.

They only use negative reinforcement. They never...

Working for this company at first seemed like a great idea since they make it sound like a great place to be.
