I have worked at Canadian Tire for the past year, 457 in Kanata and I loved certain and disliked certain aspects of it. Overall, I would say it was an excellent first job, they have a great General Manager, and most of the other managers are great too. The only reason I quit was because I found another job that I had been seeking for a while. But at least at this location, it was a good job!

I joke around constantly with my coworkers/bosses, but not in an overly slacking way. We all know that certain things need to be accomplished on a daily basis and we get to it (most of the time). We help each other out and there's not really much animosity between anyone. Sure there's a spat every now and then, but overall it's pretty relaxed.
