Before speaking with me, my boss offered my job to one of my employees. I found out about my dismissal through this employee. Shame on you Exfo, shame on you!!!

Keep away from Exfo! Employees are laid off without a severance package in spite of having worked there for many years. You will have to hire a lawyer to fight for the money you are owed.

I worked at Exfo for 5 years and I left because no promotion was possible. This company loves putting negative labels on employees regardless of competency and skills; no advancement is possible without playing vicious political games. Leaving Exfo was the best decision of my professional life.

I've worked for Exfo as an engineer twice in my career and it's the best employer I've ever had. I left Exfo only to get advancement in some other business and now I wish I never did. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a job in Quebec City.

Micromanaged and one-man-show company. Keep your head down or you will lose it. Many great employees and executives were either fired or forced to quit because they confronted the system. Undoubtedly, this is one of the worst companies to work for in Canada.

It is outrageous that the executives of EXFO are laying off innocent employees who need a job instead of taking full responsibility for their big mistakes. Why don't you resign or cut in half your big salary packages? It is clear that you are here just to make money; you don't care about your employees' wellbeing.

Why Exfo failed?

1. Management became so arrogant that they viewed success as an entitlement.

2. Undisciplined approach to growth: setting targets that were so aggressive that the company couldn't maintain its standards.

3. Leaders ignored negative data and were prone to blame external factors (economic crisis) for poor performance rather than accept any responsibilities.

Losing big money. Strict travel restrictions in place. We cannot even drive to Quebec City for meetings; we have to do it by phone. What was the Executive team smoking when they set a revenue target of USD 250M for this fiscal year?

Everyday I work there, they show us we don't matter. Exfo has a poisoned work enviroment.

I have worked at Exfo for one year. This company has a nasty atmosphere; hypocrisy and backstabbing are at the order of the day. The people who don't join the system are having a miserable professional life here.

You don't need to be competent or professional to work at this company. As long as you are a docile and obedient employee, you can become a Vice-President.

If you work at EXFO, you won't be able to find another job in Quebec City because the owner intimidates all the other entrepreneurs in the region. Therefore, you will have to cope with abuse and professional stagnation until you retire.

I've worked in EXFO in sales, I do not recommend it to anyone. Their comm plan is very weak and does not allow you to earn a good income. Their RSU ( restricted shares units)plan, it's a joke!, but most of all they do not appreciate sales people !

I worked in the EXFO Marketing Department for four years. Despite putting many working hours and giving the best of me, I had no recognition. My manager was only concerned about power and politics; I was not properly coached nor appraised. I was made redundant without a real justification. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
