I have been working at Tim Horton's for almost four years. Now that they are competing with McDonald's, head office is firing both management and bottom-of-the-list employees left and right because they are changing their rules and standards every day. Every day I am shown e-mails from secret shoppers, health-inspectors, and upper management about complaints they have. So while their sitting in...

Working at Tim Horton's is comparable to that of working at a German Death Camp in the 1940's. You are required to do as much work as humanly possible with minimal breaking and absolutely disgusting compensation. I worked for Tim Horton's for 3 months to the day and was fired on my 90th day working. I worked mostly a 5:30am to 2:00pm shift and had to commute about 25km to and from work everyday...

To get the health benifits, you have to pay into it on your paycheck, but you still have to pay for dental etc..out of pocket and then wait for reimbursment (which is only 50% max, if they agree with your claim). Not nearly as flexible to new employees as they claim. Most managers don't participate in the work environment. Not very approachable either. No room at all for advancement.

Supervisors are underpaid and always harassed by management to work overtime without any extra benefits. Do not apply you will regret it.

My expectations were low to begin with, so I can't say I'm surprised...A lot of my co-workers are extremely rude, but that's to be expected from these mid-lifers who have no option in life other than Tims (sad really). I almost never see my Store Owner, but I do have a great Manager. She works so hard trying to make the best of things; I really believe she deserves better.

I have worked for Tim Hortons since May of 2007, and I would have to say this is one of the worst jobs imaginable, let me just explain some of the actions they have done.

1) Managers always expect you to work beyond human possibilities, there is no value to "hard work" whatsoever.

2) Managers have no respect for employees, they find any possible way to yell at an employee and treat them...

This job is a joke. I've worked at other fast food jobs before, but Tim Horton's is probably one of the worst employers in Canada. The benefits are the ONLY decentish part, and believe me, you won't last the six months required to stay to get them if you have any sense or the ability/time to go get another job. I've been there less than a month and am already seeking other employment.

I work at a Tim Horton's and based on my personal experiences, I wouldn't recommend working there unless you have little or no other options. I keep telling myself that it isn't all that bad and I should be thankful for having a job in the first place, but when it's Thursday and you're already too depressed to focus on your coursework/social engagements/whatever because Saturday's coming and you...

Crappy job, CRAPPIER employer. I was a storefront worker for 2 years and I have nothing but bad memories. When I was working there I worked shifts that ended at 11pm and often they had me scheduled for 7pm the next day. I was 16 at the time and I am female. I had to bus home in a bad area late at night all by myself and no one cared when I asked to change shifts. They kept saying they would...

My Tim's doesn't care about the workers, bullies us into working 15 -20 minutes past shift without pay, bulletin board full of negative comments, doesn't keep promise of scheduling to suit retirees and students, etc, etc. Cronically understaffed and leaves a lot to desire in regards to cleanliness, safe working conditions. Most of us feel like slave labour and our turn over rate is unbelievable
