If you are just looking for a paycheck, for fairly simple work, 8-5/mon-fri then great they are always hiring. But if you are looking for a career, for job satisfaction,...

My experience at Gregg's left a real foul taste in my mouth. I dont know about the other locations but the branch I was at was a terrible place to work. Most of the employees felt like they were walking on eggshells all day long. (...). Employee moral was the worst I have ever seen in a business and the turnover was very high. They would always preach "teamwork" and "pride" as if anyone knew what...

Gregg Distributors is a horrific place to work. I have never been treated like I have absolutly nothing to offer before in my entire working life. People are not encouraged to offer opinions on anything at all. The trainers talk to you like you are a complete and utter moron, it's very disturbing. (...). Just left. Feels good.

I think if you're a customer then there is no better place to go. The customer will always be served well and get good value.

As an employee, I recommend moving elsewhere. I couldn't stand the micromanaging. I couldn't stand the low morale of staff. I couldn't stand being watched. I didn't like being treated like a 10 year old when I made a mistake. Conversely, I...

If there is someone from upper management reading this I hope the look at it as areas the can improve on and find a solution rather than just say it's negativity. Negativity attracts negativity. So far, this site is clearly not about accurately rating your employer, but rather has become a forum monopolized by the disgruntled few to air their one-sided, biased and even non-factual comments. Truly unfortunate and unfair for a company with the integrity and reputation of Greggs. During this past year with Alberta's economy in a recession, many companies...

I have enjoyed my time @ Greggs. The structure works, you can do your job and know if you follow your training which they provide, and use the support after with continual training your job will be easy to complete. You are also given many options in your career there to grow and advance. The perks are more than you may think. To start you receive 3 week vacation. In Alberta they only require 2...

Yes, Gregg's is very structured and disciplined, but that is only a problem for lazy idiots! The management and ownership are trying to run a very large operation. Of course they have to demand a lot from their staff. Grow up!

I have worked at Gregg's for a while now and although I find many of the negative comments here to be true, I have chosen to stay because I think I can handle it. I worked for Gregg's for just over a year. And the only reason I can think there is so many positive posts lately is Greggs is the type of company that would make some of the longer term employees post positive comments or they would pay someone to do it. I got such a laugh reading all the other comments. I had two friends who worked for Greggs too. One only lasted 2 weeks before he quit. The second one managed to last 3 months.

The best way to describe working at Greggs is to say it reminds me of working for the military. Some people will like it but most don't. They do time you in the bathroom which is so wierd.
