Working for Microsoft has been a great experience for me. I learned a lot and it allowed me to evolve in my career. As long as you manage to achieve your goals, you're fine. On the other hand, if you are unfortunate enough to have family problems that could affect your goals, the term "work-life balance" no longer exists.
