  • I am a present employee, If management doesn't like you for whatever reason, you will never advance even if you are qualified and complimented many times over to the management from your customers. Company policies only apply to whom ever management chooses and allows others to listen to their headphones and drink coffee at their work stations and sales floor, eat at the service desk etc. Favoritism is HUGE THERE and hidden extra hours some cashiers get, shifts never rotated for a few selected ones. You will be lied to your face, then later see new staff with no prior knowledge or experience doing what you already know, yet management will not allow you to do same task for what ever is up their arse. Metro Inc seriously needs to rotate all management at all levels including department managers as they become too comfortable and lazy. Bookkeepers literally have no people skills as they are rude to employees when asked a question. So many people in the office yet only one person can answer a question at times. Store Manager and Bookkeeper are very bitter mean people, the Asst. Managers have no back bone and are afraid to 'rock the boat' so the integrity of the store goes out the window,so they allow the non sense to continue. Bottom line is bonus check at the end of the year for store manager, yet the customers face huge line ups because the management has cut hours to profit huge bonus and line his already overflowing pockets!
