  • Sure Kiewit isn't for everyone, neither is Google or the Federal Government, but for inteligent people with ambition, drive, initiative, inherent leadership qualities looking for a career in construction, there is no equal...any where in the world. Period. Tons of responsibility when you're new, tons of opportunity to make your future what you want it to be, and no one holding you back...ever. Recently recognized as one of Canada's Top 100 places to work, based on anonymous survey of current employees. The internet is a great place to gather facts about a company, but believe nothing of what you read and only half of what you hear.

This comment totally seems like like someone in management wrote this to boost Kiewit. It reeks of the Kiewit lemonade that so-called management must swallow.

No one Holding you back but yourself? Really? That sounds to good to be true. One might say that but Oh wait don't for get the ass kiss gets the first pick Or maybe the yes man. You say or do what I want and you get what you want.

I agree with the first comment. Kiewit is a company that is skirting the boundary to slave labour.

It is typical to get hired by this company as a new grad with a fixed salary based on a 40 hour work week (in the contract). Then you end up working 5am to 10pm monday to saturday and the only promotion you get is more responsibility without pay.

This guy needs to walk through the halls of the Kiewit offices and get a reality check. Kiewit is a joke.

The company has a turnover rate of 25% for a reason.

"Believe nothing of what you read and only half of what you hear"?
Thay applies to what THIS GUY is saying as well.
