As a Black employee, while working at CGI, I've noticed a lack of representation from the Black community, mostly within leading positions. Blacks within CGI are kept in lower positions for many years without promotion and they are usually the first to be fired at the slightest excuse. Of the few Blacks, I've approached very few are willing to talk about the situation at work. Recently I've come across the most troubling story, about the treatment by CGI of a Black employee who announced plans for maternity leave. This employee was let go in ways that can't be described here. After verification, I came across the story in a blog post as well. This prompted me to make plans for a quick exit, asap.
